"In the Family Unity - Unity of the World"

devoted to the topic “Family, Parents and Children”

Aims of the project:

Propaganda of eternal human values by means of plastic art and photography.

The main goal of the exhibition is to unite the creative potential of sculptors and photographers from different countries in order to establish universal values and national peculiarities on the topic announced.

History of the project:

The exhibition «In Family Unity – Unity of the World » is the international project resulted from the last few years of work on the Russian exhibition project “In Family Unity – Unity of the Nation”, devoted to the eternal topic of the Family, Parents and Children.

The exhibition «In Family Unity – Unity of the Nation», devoted to the eternal topic of the Family, Parents and Children, was initiated by the creative-production corporation «Yekaterinburg Art Fund» (Russia, Yekaterinburg) in 2005.

The exhibition was already held in 25 regions of the Russian Federation including Siberia, the Urals, the Volga region, the North Caucasus and Moscow.

Only in 2008 the exhibition was exposed in Moscow for three times.

Wherever the exhibition was held it was warm and friendly received by everyone. Why? We suppose it is so because it touches upon the question that everyone is interested in, in spite of his nationality, belief, culture, age or level of education.

Positive results of the exhibition activities in variety of regions made us believe that at the present moment we can already   work on the international exhibition project as well. We suggest to unite the works of sculptors and photographers that are devoted to the topic announced so to held the exhibition in different countries and states.

We are sure that the exhibition «In Family Unity – Unity of the World» will find the positive response from different layers of the world population: head leaders, politicians, businessmen, clerks, housewives, students, pensioners, Christians, Moslems, Jews, Buddhists, people of different skin color, educational level or cultural traditions.

Stages of exhibition project in 2010:

1. Informing professional sculptors and photographers in different countries about the exhibition: February 2009-June 2010.
2. Collecting images of works for selection: March 2009-March 2010.
3. Selection of works, forming the preliminary exposition: March 2009- June 2010.
4. Signing authors’ contracts. Delivery of works to Yekaterinburg (Russia): March 2010- June 2010.
5. Forming of the standing exposition. Creating the catalogue of the exhibition: June 2010-August 2010.
6. Forming the schedule of the exhibition for 2010.
7. Holding the exhibition in Russia according to the schedule: September –December 2010.

Stages of exhibition project in 2011-2012:

1. Collecting images of photo and sculpture works for primarily selection.
2. Selection of works, forming the preliminary exposition.
3. Signing authors’ contracts. Delivery of works to Yekaterinburg (Russia).
4. Forming the schedule of the exhibition.

Participation:

-        Professional sculptors and photographers are invited.

-        Confession, nationality, race, etc – no restriction.

-        The number of participants from each country –no restrictions.

Work requirements:

Plastic and art realization of works –no restrictions.

For sculptures:

1.      The work of art should be original and completed by the time or specially by the date of the exhibition and correspond to the topic announced.

2.      The work is to be done as the 3-D model, up to 0.7 meters height and up to 20 kg weight.

3.      The materials (plastic tars, metal, wood, plastic, wire, etc) should provide the safety of the model while transportation. The color and texture should correspond to the author’s idea and not loosing its style while exploiting.

4.      The sculpture should be of stable construction.

5.      The work of art should be packed so to provide its safety while transporting.

6.      Explanatory note should be done in English on the single or double A4 sheet of paper.

For photos:

-        All photos should be professional and be created for the last few years.

-        Photos should be digital in RAW format.

-        Photos are to correspond to the topic announced in any style, metaphor or choice of objects.

-        Explanatory note should be done in English on the single or double A4 sheet of paper.

Works selection:

On the first stage the works will be selected only according to the photos being sent to the steering committee by e-mail or fax. In case the work corresponds to all requirements needed the author will be sent a note that his work is included in the exposition.

Author’s copyright:

The works of art taking part in the exhibition are the authors’ ownership and after the exhibition should be returned to the authors. In case the sculpture or photo answer the concept of the exhibition and all requests needed we send the contract to the author that confirm copyright.

Costs:

-        The participants create the works on their own expense.

-        The participants pack the works on their own expense.

-        All transfer costs, rental expenses, equipment costs, ads costs, service expenses and so on are paid by the steering committee.

Autho’s presence on the exhibition:

The authors are welcomed to take part in the exhibition. The authors are provided with all information of the exhibition held (country, city, date). All transport and residence costs are made by participants.
